This mini, released in March 2009 and updated in October 2009, adds a fifth USB port and exchanges the Firewire 400 for a Firewire 800 port. This model also allows for dual display abilities and offers significantly improved graphics capabilities thanks to the addition of a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics card. The 2.53 and 2.66 GHz version have the the "Server" option, which replaces the optical drive with a secondary hard drive.
This Mac mini offers two RAM slots, enabling a maximum of 4 GB of RAM using two PC3-8500 2 GB RAM Chips. If your mini's RAM isn't already maxed out, adding more RAM is a cost-effective way to improve performance. Need more storage? You can install a massive and fast 500 GB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive for more headroom.
