iPod Video Color Display Replacement

My trusty video iPod took a hit from a box at work, which killed the bottom half of it's display.

Meine Reparatur

I ordered the replacement from Ifixit, and followed the repair guide. all went well. It took about an hour, mostly because i had to keep taking on and off my glasses to see the connections clearly. I am quite near sighted, and my progressive lenses do not let me see tiny details.

Mein Rat

One of those magnifying lamps would be useful.

I also use a thin flexible steak putty knife as an opening tool. Just be careful not to scratch the front of the case. It just works better for me, and doesn't break off as easily as the opening tools.
