Could not lower volume on iPhone with the button.

It was somewhat time consuming cause you have to be careful disconnecting the cables, but it went good. All works now.

Mein Rat

Follow the instructions carefully as per ifixit site and definately use the tools that you can buy at the site. Will come in handy for future repairs.
