Uppgrade Mac Mini, Mid 2010 for work with El Kapitan

Mein Problem

The optical drive did not work so I installed dual Hard Drive instead.

And I want to upgrade to El Kapitan and install some more ROM.

Meine Reparatur

I followed the guide from IFIXIT for how to Install Mac Mini Mid 2010 Dual Hard Drive. Very good instruction even for a Norwegian amateur.

I first Cloned the old hard drive with a ekstern Icy Box docking station to my new Samsung 250GB SSD disk.

Followed the instuction and put the new HD in a 12,7mm Optical Bay from Ifixit. Put everything together with som new 8GB (2x4) memory.

Started up and hold down the [alt] when I heard the apple sound. Chose the new SSD as start disk and every thing did work.

I then changed the startup Disk in System Preferences and set the NEW SSD as startup drive.

Then I installed the El Kapitan and I got a brand new Mac :-)
