iPhone 5S battery replacement gone somewhat smoothly

The iPhone 5S would constantly die at 40% and overall not hold a charge..

Meine Reparatur

I got the screen off, cut the adhesive strip in two , then pulled off the strips and maybe 25% of it came off. I then pulled out my mental pry tool (bring aware puncturing the battery could turn into an accidental fire) and tried to pry the battery up while not bending it too much. I left a dent in the metal frame around the screen and from tat point on I put a plastic card in between the frame and the metal pry tool and used he frame the leverage. It did not budge so I used a hair dryer and heated it up from the back, repeated the process a few times, then viola! The battery was free! I put the adhesive strips in the same location as they were before made sure to bend the grabbing strip before you put the battery in.

Mein Rat

Get a hairdryer if all of the battery adhesive strips don't pull off. If you need to pry the battery out using leverage from the frame around where the screen used to be, put a piece of plastic over it so you don't scuff or dent it. Also, take a photo of where the previous adhesive strips were before so you can put the new ones in the same spot. Good luck!
