Replaced Trackpad

Mein Problem

When attempting to clean and adjustment the trackpad I ended up breaking the keyboard ribbon cable zif connector - So I ended up having to purchase a new trackpad.

Meine Reparatur

The new trackpad was replaced with out any issues. The zif connector is a bit finicky for attaching both the trackpad ribbon and the keyboard ribbon. My laptop now works great - so I'm happy.

Mein Rat

Be really careful when lifting the zif connectors to remove and insert the ribbons. It's very thin plastic and if it breaks you have to replace the entire trackpad. I used the All-new Pro Tech Toolkit, which is awesome. Great tools, great case. Highly recommend this kit - I
