I managed to get my ps3 to work again :) back to Skyrim

Mein Problem

My ps3 died from the YLOD and for a week I tried the hairdryer method which only lasted an hour or so each time so I decided to buy this kit and repair it. No ps3 meant no more skyrim, right when I was getting addicted to the game.

Meine Reparatur

The repair took me a while as I have a different model ps3 than the one shown and I wanted to be extra careful to not mess anything up. When I was putting it all back together I did manage to damage the little ribbon thing that connects to the power and eject board so the red and green light didn't turn on and the eject button didn't work afterwards but I was still able to turn on the ps3 with the controller plus eject the disc from the xmb menu.

Mein Rat

I would say take your time and be careful. The whole process isn't actually that difficult, you will realize how easy it was when you are putting everything back together. When putting ribbons back into their clip things don't try too hard to force them in otherwise you could damage them but if you do damage them like I did you can always buy a replacement ribbon.
