3rd MacBook Pro (circa 2009) replacement battery

Replacement battery failure. Expanded into the track pad also.

The last aftermarket battery not so good of quality - not from iFixit. It expanded into the track pad. I also discovered that one of the motherboard power connection pins was bent so that two pins were connected into one of the 9 pin female end of the battery connector cable slots. weird and you would think that would have caused some problems and maybe did shorten the life of the 2nd replacement battery.

Mein Rat

Watch not to bend the motherboard pins. Order the replacement screws for the base shell too and/or use blue lock tight on the screw threads otherwise they will work their way loose and fall out.
