My hearing aids weren't working quite like they used to. I thought the batteries were dying, but after replacing them three times in a month, I figured the wax guard may need to be replaced. Unfortunately, I lost the guard applicator that came with the aids, so I didn't know how I was going to replace the guards.

Great! My hearing might be going, but thankfully I've still got my dexterity! The iFixit Micro Opening Tool was able to delicately pry open the hearing aid. The pointed end of the Micro Spudger acted as a perfect wax guard removal tool and applicator.
