iPhone screen spider webbed

Mein Problem

After replacing my battery with an iFixit kit about a week earlier, my daughter dropped my iPhone in the driveway at a wedding and it shattered the screen.

Meine Reparatur

I taped the broken screen like the guide suggests. It took me a little while to get the broken screen off. I had trouble with one of the screws that attaches the display shield to the back of the display but I removed the bracket and spun it to get the screw out. I put the phone back together after replacing the screen and it wouldn't turn on, even after holding down the power and home buttons for 20 seconds like the guide suggests. So I took the phone apart again, reconnected the display cables and tada! All fixed!

Mein Rat

Make sure you connect the display cables securely before you reassemble the phone completely. And be careful with the screws, the heads spin out easily.
