iPod back again as new

Mein Problem

Defective headphone insert due to heavy use and age of the device. Right channel gone mute.

Meine Reparatur

It takes a lot of time and patience to split the cover, the plastic opening tools are a bit fragile and tender for the metallic cover parts, so i had to end the operation carefully using one small slotted screwdriver.

Mein Rat

Don't slide the plastic opening tools in order to enlarge the cut between the two shells, the plastic tool's tip may yield and crumble.

Be careful to the hold switch mechanical contacts, and be sure that all is well-linked. i had to re-open the iPod because of that.
