Mein Problem
My iPhone 5s was running really slow and wouldn’t hold a charge. Usually, I tend to repair my own things and after spending time researching and considering whether to buy new phone or not I decide to replace my battery instead.
Meine Reparatur
The overall repair went very well. The iFixit guides are pretty thorough and easy to follow. I did have difficulty getting the adhesive strips out and I ended up using a hair dryer to loosen the battery from the case. Other than that the repair went off without a hitch.
Mein Rat
I believe the guide says this, however, once you put the new adhesive strips on there’s no readjusting or taking them off and putting them back on.
The only thing that was really truly awkward about the repair was that it seemed that the battery ribbon did not want to go in the same as the OEM battery.
