Replaced swelling MacBook Pro batter

The battery had swollen so much, the clamshell would not close. When opening the Mac, the casing just popped off because the metal was so stressed.

Meine Reparatur

The repair went as exactly described by ifixit. Even though you’re dealing with delicate micro electronics, when I put everything back together and plugged in the Mac... it booted up and started right where I left off!

Mein Rat

The repair guide says the adhesive remover needs a few minutes to work. I found that applying the remover and immediately prying the battery out was easier.
