[Update: DISASTER!] Went well at first. Then adhesive failed, wasted $170.

Screen was shattered when my wife dropped her watch.

Went great at first. Kinda hard to get around inside the tiny space with tiny components, but followed instructions to a tee and things worked well... until the adhesive failed and disaster struck... The watch and screen worked at first, but then the screen popped off several days to a week later. I reheated to soften the adhesive and reclamped and let set. A few days later, popped off again. Finally, per a rec from a redditor, I bought some adhesive for a few bucks and was going to redo the fix with that, but after trying to reconnect the three electrical ribbons, I realized apparently the screen-popping-off had broken one of those minuscule clips that keep the ribbons attached. So the screen doesn't work and I'm out $170 bucks bc of the crappy cheap-o adhesive strip they provide (or possibly the clip was weak to begin with--only one of them broke). If I buy a new screen, I'll have spent more than the price of a new and better Apple Watch. FML. Apparently redditors are aware the adhesive strips suck and just buy separate adhesive. Why would iFixit not provide legit adhesive? It's $170 on the line! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Either use a different manufacturer that includes good adhesive strips, or buy your own adhesive and don't bother with the crappy adhesive strips from ifixit. Regardless, go slowly and methodically, follow directions, don't sweat it.
