Lack of memory and the word of the Apple salespeople that we could upgrade the memory got us to buy the tool.

We successfully opened the machine - and successfully closed it again (wohoo!)

Mein Rat

Yeah! Don't expect to upgrade the RAM of a MacBook Air. Ever. Don't expect to upgrade the SSD either unless you have the unconventional gumstick variant of SSD that Apple uses.
