Mein Problem

Traded an old student desk for an old iPod mini that worked only when plugged in or about 20 minutes on an exhausted battery. I really only wanted it to keep plugged into an alarm clock, but when my Nano died from water damage (thanks to a little accident by my daughter) I decided to drop in a new battery and bring the Mini up to travel speed.

Meine Reparatur

Thanks to the ifixit site, I checked out the 'how to,' ordered my spudger and replacement battery kit and got to work. The photos and instructions were clear and straight forward. The only glitch was that once I reassembled it, the sound was very faint. Took it apart again and replugged the connectors that had been unplugged during the battery replacement and put it back together again, Turned it on and have been rockin' and rollin' since.

It's not that hard, and where it is hard the site tells you what to look out for.

I'm tempted to keep ifixit my secret and take those old dead electronics off of my friends hands, fix them and sell them at a profit, but this site is too good to keep to myself.

Now if only I can breath new life into that White Screen of Death Nano...
