iPod 2 screen replacement

The screen was cracked.

My 12 year old attempted the repair after watching the video and was not able to pry the broken screen up. So, dad (who is a mech. eng'r. and didn't really care if the thing got fixed or permently broke) took over. The repair went well - the new screen is in place and the iPod works. It did take a lot of force to pry up three of the sides (no real problem with the side the volume buttons are on). I did brake both of the plastic tools in the process of the repair.

Mein Rat

Several sets of the plastic tools might be a good idea. Also, using something such as tooth picks to hold the screen up after it has been pried loose might be helpful.
