A fix for a doomed ps3

I ordered the ylod repair kit to fix thr problem. It arrived in less than a week, while I pondered the fact my ps3 may be gone forever. Meanwhile, I educated myself on the process taking apart the machine, with the help of the repair guide on the website. The repair went smoothly, not as difficult as I thought it may be. All and all, took about 3 hours, 1 hour to take it apart and 2 hours to clean all the dust bunnies out (there was A LOT of dust) my 12 year old boy helped with the cleaning process as well. My wingman, he rocked!

Mein Rat

We got it all back together, crossed our fingers, turned it on, crossed our fingers........ and, viola! Green light! all systems go! Amazing, we wept tears of joy, high fived, hugged, it was a great moment! Now that I have the kit, I am thinking it is a good idea to take it apart every 6 months or so, just to clean out the dust from the fan motor and such, it is running much cooler just from getting a good clean. Thank you for the kit, and advice. Money well spent!
