I followed the guide as written and the repair was successful. This was my first apple repair!

The small gold grounding tab should get more focus in the write up. I used a small swiss army knife to make sure it didn't break on removal of the logic board. A better tool would be a small 90degree dental pick to make sure it doesn't bind on the back housing when the board is removed.
