Mein Problem

Ordered this item on Ama*** two times from two different suppliers and got two bogus batteries.

Exasperated I nearly gave up. Not wanting to buy another phone I decided to try the ifixit version and it worked like a charm.

To think that I almost bailed on my trusty 3Gs. Whew that was a close one!

Meine Reparatur

Replacing the battery is perhaps the easiest of all iphone repairs. Dont hesitate if you are worried about difficulty.

Mein Rat

When removing the battery from the body. Just pull up on the clear plastic peice at the top of the battery -before you attempt prying it off with the tools. Often it will just come right out.

If you have to pry it out do it very carefully. Its easy to damage the case or worse the cabling ribbons surrounding the battery.
