Fan sounds like engine

Mein Problem

The fan sounded like it was loose. So I ordered a new fan, screwdriver and spudger.

Meine Reparatur

The repair went very well. Took about 2 hours only because the fan was not the only problem. Had to open my laptop twice. Turned out the bottom of the keyboard was pressing against the fan causing the noise. All I had to do was press against the bottom of the keyboard to prevent it from pressing against the new fan.

Mein Rat

Make sure you have a can (or two) of dust off. I could not believe how much dust and lint was inside my laptop. Make sure you have plenty of free time when doing this type of operation.
