Drive Location Does Matter

Wanted an ssd boot drive for a faster computer.

The repair went alright. Putting the mini back together was much harder than taking it apart. The kit was excellent and so were the install guides. One big concern came up with using an SSD as a bootable drive in the secondary position.

Mein Rat

After I installed the SSD I transfered my os to the drive and made it bootable. After that the OS would freeze when launching more than one application at a time. I went back into the Mac Mini (much faster the second time) and swapped the location of the my ssd and the drive that came with the computer. With the SSD in the "primary" position my computer is performing fantastically and I am running several things that locked up the computer previously.
