Noisy right fan ended up dead

Meine Reparatur

Quite easy. Took about half an hour. But the brand new Phillips #0 Screwdriver didn't last - the tip broke off although handled with care - made it difficult to reassemble the machine. A bit annoying.

Mein Rat

The photo of the macbookpro 17" model A1261 Fan shown in the iFixit Guide tells you that the connector must be white, whilst it should be black for model 1151 etc. - I received a Fan with a black connector (as the one in the order-catalog) A bit confusing. So I was suspecting that You had not sent the right one - Got help via mail. Opened the mac and found, that the broken fan had a black connector.

The new one works, and the mac is very quiet now.
