iMac Hard Drive Replacement Made Easy!

One of the iMac HDDs died like they commonly do after a while and usually I would outsource the repair to a certified Mac repair center. I came across the resources on iFix it and after having some repair experience, decided to replace it myself and save our company some money.

Meine Reparatur

After I got over the excitement of using the suction cups to pull the glass off, everything went very smoothly. I watched the iFixit video a few times and it was very easy to follow.

Mein Rat

Everything is pretty self explanatory. Unplug the cables needed to remove the LCD if you are by yourself. If not you can have someone hold the panel up while you remove the hard drive and save some time. I saved about 220.00 doing this repair myself, thank you iFixit!
