Why didn’t you completly pull the board out and show the cpu? Is it removable and upgradable?

Most laptop cpu’s are soldered to their contacts. There’s very few models of laptop’s that will have removable cpu’s in the consumer market.

I’ve the yoga 30 13 inch FHD touchscreen. Anyone know if the 40 pin connector on the board would support a UHD touchscreen upgrade?

Teardown to me mean you strip it completely down to loose parts. This did not help me at all with removing the screen to replace hinges. This “teardown” is something a rookie should have made. I expect better ifixit.

Which one's the keyboard cable? Certain keys are only intermittently working. I think my keyboard connector might be loose.

TP = Touch Pad

KB = Keyboard

PW = Power

Photos are in really low quality. It would be awesome to be able to read the text in the ram chips :(

The “unboxing” portion was completely irrelevant… and a waste of time. Why do so many people think the unboxing is such a monumental event to document and publish…? Aside from that, I totally cringe each time I see purported professionals touching computer components with their bare fingers; this is especially so with the chips. Fingerprints contain corrosive elements that will “eat into” a component.
