Many thanks! I have one of these laptops and after only eighteen months gentle use (I'm retired) the screen hinge started to get stiff and then broke altogether. Managed to fix it using your information.
In my case I didn't get it early enough - the plastic hinge mount had broken off! I removed the hinge, glued the mount back on with five-minute epoxy, gave it an hour to dry thoroughly, fitted the hinge and reassembled everything. A very happy camper!
