I completed the screen replacement on my 2013 N7 and have to agree that the hardest part is removing the screen from the bezel. In my case, the removal weakened the brittle plastic of the bezel, and when I went to clean off the old adhesive, bits broke off. I was able to reattach with crazy glue. We'll see how long this holds together. Fortunately, the screen itself provides structural integrity. I don't think it will make it through another repair of this sort, through. Another disassembly, and the bezel will come completely apart.
A tool recommendation, however. Get an automotive feeler gauge. slim spring steel, with a rounded front. Slips into the adhesive seam easily, and doesn't mar the surface the way a blade would.
All in all, a successful repair. If you can find a screen+bezel unit for a reasonable price, just do that. It's much easier. Be worth another $30 to me.
