@ethanquincy There should be no reason why not, however the question here would be more how to do it than whether you can (finding the correct guide or adventuring yourself) I've asked the author of this post if he could add a full view of the back of the machine, without the cover blocking the parts, to see if the HD is easily accessible. Another issue I could see is Windows license restrictions. You might want to look into Linux, depending on your use of the computer.
Please see @flyingdutchman 's answer to this question: How to get access to fix the optical view finder lens? You will have access to your viewfinder, and will be able to assess whether it needs replacing or just popping a lens back in.
From your pictures it looks like it's only your screen that is damaged. If the board was damaged it would most likely not provide any video to the screen. Replacing the screen is not very difficult, but will probably run more expensive than getting a newer iPhone 5 or 5s, as this is an old phone. A quick search on this site showed no inventory.
Would you have the chance to add a photo of the machine without the cover on? My idea is to be able to see what is easily accessible in order to answer some other users' questions such as this one: Could I replace the hard drive with an SSD
Thanks for this guide, it was helpful. I edited it to add some details, I hope they help the next person.
My camera is also this model, but I found that there were some differences, and I'm wondering it I got a refurbished device for the price of a new one... For instance the top cable were soldered to the front of the camera, no plug in sight. I found more than 1 screw that had a different thread to the others.
All in all I managed to fix my issue which was with the viewfinder. The 550D guide for the viewfinder will work for this camera (I just used it and the viewfinder parts are exactly the same) Canon EOS Rebel T2i Eyepiece Replacement
Thanks for this manual.

4 years later.... Yes, it would work exactly the same as the 2.5" SSDs are the exact same size and shape as the 2.5" HDD

I used this guide to fix my 600D (Rebel T3i), and it worked like a charm.
The middle lens of my viewfinder had popped out of its plastic holder. it is now back in place, thanks to this guide.
I have added a couple of marker, to make it just that little bit easier to spot the screws and ribbon cables.
Thanks again!
