I think, iFixit should change the step where they remove all of the fabric, to one from your step.
Also, regarding working around the AUX jack, while sliding the cowling over the core, I covered the jack with a thin metal spudger and then holding it in place, pushed the cowling over it. This way re-installation was also easier.
My tap’s battery backup had reduced a lot! Changed the battery and everything is fine now!!
