I just bought from a friend an AirPort Extreme 3TB Time Capsule. It is A1470 module. I've made a complete check up and it is in a good condition and everything is working. It is replacing an older AirPort Extreme 4th gen. A1354 that had an USB hub powered hub and two external USB Hard drives. Those hard drives mounted on my network as normal hard drives (not time capsule). I tried to make the same thing on the new Airport, to have the 3TB Time Capsule and the other 2 HD, each one working independently, but I could not do it. Am I doing something wrong, or it can't be done?
Hi. Did you fixed the your speakers? I need to fix a left speaker and I already bought it from iFixit. My problem is how to open the back plate of the MacBook, I think the screws are Torx 3. The screw is very tight in place and it is made with a hard metal, the Torx 3 driver bought I has a soft metal. It end up making my torx lose the teeth. I was very gentle but it did not help. I would like some advice on the matter.
I upgraded my Mini with a T7600 long ago, installed all ram memory it takes (2GB) and recently I installed a Seagate Momentus XT 500GB hard drive. The Momentus XT made a big difference on the machine performance. It was using Snow Leopard and it was fast, the only bottle neck is the graphic ship set, but there is no solution for that. I manage to install Lion making some hacking to the installation app. It runs it fine. It is a pretty good machine and it will hold for a bit longer.
On Step 23, before removing the adhesive tapes, PLEASE, give MORE emphasis on the fact that removing the Taptip engine is an easy step and facilitate very much the removal of the tapes.
How about the stick tape that goes around the frame? Where can I buy that because there is no way to remove the original one without breaking it. Even if you use hot air to loose it a bit.
Please, I looking to find the answer to my question but I had no luck.
I bought a new Mac mini Core i5 2.8Ghz (2018) with 1TB Fusion drive. Can I upgrade the SSD and the HD? Can I use comum market parts or it must be from Apple? What is the specification for the SSD? My intention is to install a 512GB SSD and a 2TB FireCuda HD.
I read your comments on your left speaker, and I also have to replace mine. The sound coming from it is very low and muffled. I opened System Preferences>Sound>Output and turned settings full left and full right and there is a big diference between both. My left speaker is broken.
Did you fix your speaker? How as it to fix? Where did you buy it?
I think my problem was caused by me, I had 3 keys not functioning correctly, (5, 6 and b). I saw an Apple Support article about how to clean the keyboard with compressed air. I followed it, but instead of compressed air I used a Contact Clean Spray. I held my MacBook in a 75º angle and applied it the excess liquid that formed came out to the left side. At the time I didn't thought on the speaker. My keys came back and are working fine, but my left speaker is muffled.
Maybe the liquid got to the speaker and soaked the rubber membrane around the speak and ruined it.

Where are the speakers? Where are they located? Can you put up some pictures?
Is it possible to upgrade the Intel processors?
The 2010 Mac Mini models had temperature sensors on the hard drive, that proved to be a little trick to remove and install a replacement hard drive.
Is it still an issue or did Apple change it?
