I am a current student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Prescott studying Aerospace Engineering. I chose this major in part because math and science have always been my strongest subjects. On top of that I have recently become fascinated by large commercial airliners. I want to one day have a job that designs aircraft, preferably in the commercial aviation sector. I have some building experience, which includes a shelving unit to place in a storage unit and a wooden patio for a house in Curacao. I am skilled when it comes to teaching. I have plenty of informal experience such as helping peers brush up on class material and especially helping to explain confusing mathematical problems. I would also consider myself a good writer, and I am good at explaining things in general. I graduated high school with a 4.0 and an AP Scholar with distinction award, which is awarded for passing 5 or more AP exams and personally includes passing both the English Language and English Literature exams. I am also extremely gifted in music, and I have played the piano for 12 years and the trumpet for 9 years. I was unofficially known as the trumpet doctor in my school band. I am also a Christian and am determined to stay connected in my faith. I believe the iFixit project will help prepare me for technical writing in the world of aerospace engineering. I understand that this an important skill and am looking to improve in this area so I will be ready for real world writing experience.
