Hello! My name is Katie. I am currently a First grade teacher, while also pursuing my Master's Degree from the University of North Alabama in Technical Writing. I am married and a mom of two beautiful girls!

Growing up, I always loved the idea of being a teacher. My love for literature, books, and writing was always evident. I graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and have taught both Kindergarten and First Grade for the past 7 years.. I love shaping the Nation's youth, but lately this job has began to take a toll on me mentally, physically, and financially. As an exhausted, overworked, and underpaid teacher, I frequently fall victim to paying more for the convivence of a service than trying to solve certain problems myself. I aim to change that and lend a hand and motivate others like myself who have become so accustomed to convenience instead of experience and acquiring skills.

This project has inspired me to research and learn new skills required for certain DIY repairs. My background and pursuit of a Master's in Technical writing affords me an advantage when creating and planning the steps needed for a repair or replacement guide. This is the beginning of my repair journey, and I am genuinely looking forward to learning how to do small repair jobs for my vehicle and around our home!
