So in my case while i was looking for solutions i found out that the 144hz display cant handle 144hz so when ever i plug in my laptop the refresh rate shifts from 60hz(on battery) to 144hz and the display would get a line and freeze/blackout so what i did was install an application know as "cru" or something that allows you to add/edit/delete refresh rates on your laptop so i deleted the 144hz refresh rate and added an 120hz(anything below 144 will work best to stick under 135) then the display works as normal even when plugged in(though u might have to manually change the refresh rate through settings>display>advanced till it catches on updates the refresh rate automatically when plugged in)
