During typical usage, if your Anker Soundcore Motion Boom A3118 reduces to minimal charge far quicker than was noticed upon first operation, follow this troubleshooting guide.
Battery Deterioration
The rechargeable lithium-ion battery may have deteriorated over time, resulting in shorter usage durations. The Anker Soundcore Motion Boom A3118 is designed to have a battery life of up to 24 hours. If you notice the battery life dropping below 12 hours, it is likely due to battery deterioration. To resolve this issue, replace the battery (Model: PA23). [Link to replacement guide]
Faulty Charging Cable
A defective charging cable or port can cause inefficient charging. To troubleshoot, try using a different USB-C charging cable. If this resolves the issue, the original cable was faulty and should be replaced. You can replace it by contacting Anker for a replacement or by using another 5V/3A USB-C wall charger with the included USB-C to USB-C cable.
Faulty Charging Port
If the Anker Soundcore Motion Boom A3118 is not charging and you're certain the charging cable is not the issue [Link to faulty Charging Cable], inspect the charging port for any visible damage. If you notice any problems, or if you're sure the cable is functioning properly, consider replacing the charging port or contact Anker for support or a replacement.
Software or Firmware Issues
The Anker Soundcore Motion Boom A3118 firmware may be outdated, which can lead to battery inefficiency. Signs of outdated software include inconsistent performance, reduced battery life, or new features not working as expected. To resolve this, visit the official Soundcore website to check for available firmware updates for the Motion Boom A3118. Follow the instructions provided to update the device's software.

My soundcore motion boom started having issues with it's charging port. Then it would shut itself off after a few minutes, even when I managed to get it charged.
Eventually, it wouldn't turn on at all, so I completely disassembled it and tried manually charging the battery. I also tried swapping in a different 7.4v battery. With an (almost) full charge of 8.2v of output, the speaker will turn on an connect- but it shuts itself back down after about 10 seconds. Every time.
Help???

I’m experiencing the same issue with my Soundcore Motion Boom speaker. It shuts off after about 10 seconds, even after a full charge, but it works perfectly when plugged in. Have you found a solution to this? Is this normal or a sign of a defective battery or internal issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
