Lenovo Yoga 2 11" Troubleshooting

The Lenovo Yoga 2 11" is a 2-in-1 tablet/laptop, released in U.S October 2013.

Wi-Fi Problems ¶ 

The Wi-Fi connection randomly drops for no reason.

Check Your Router ¶ 

There may be a problem with your wireless router instead of the device itself.

Change Power Saving Settings ¶ 

Some Windows devices have a default setting that restricts wi-fi capabilities in order to save power. Turn this setting off.

Download and Install the Latest LAN Driver ¶ 

Your current wireless driver might be out-of-date, and you might just need to download the latest one from (https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documen...| Lenovo's website).

Keyboard and Motherboard Connection ¶ 

There is a loose connection between the motherboard and keys.

Remove Back Cover of Device ¶ 

Remove back cover (see replacement guides in how to accurately do this) in order to solve this problem. Soldering might need to be done.

Micro-HDMI Cable ¶ 

You may be unable to connect your micro-HDMI cable to your device.

Replace Brand Cable Converters ¶ 

Your cable converters might have a hardware problem. You can fix this with a replacement converter.

Speakers/Audio Jack ¶ 

Speakers won't play any sound.

Inserting and Re-inserting Earbuds ¶ 

The device might think something is plugged in due to a certain pop up that alerts it. Plug in and remove earbuds repeatedly, then leave unplugged.

Yellow/Blue Colored Screen ¶ 

Your device might crash and alert you with a yellow or blue screen.

Download Recent Driver Packages ¶ 

You might have an outdated driver that is causing problems on your computer. Look for the most recent one on the (https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documen...| Lenovo website).

Windows 8 Might Be Corrupted ¶ 

You might need to uninstall Windows 8 and reinstall a clean version.

Device Not Booting Up ¶ 

Your device just won't boot up.

Battery Is Not Charged ¶ 

Double check that the power cord is plugged in all the way and all parts are connected.

Power Adapter ¶ 

If all connections are made, consider replacing the power adapter. Lenovo Power Adapter

Slow Performance ¶ 

The laptop might experience slow performance when switching in between modes, such as from laptop to tent to tablet.

Switch to BIOS Mode ¶ 

This problem can be solved by going into the BIOS mode and turning off Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework (DPTF) feature. This might affect your battery life though.
