Insert a SIM removal tool or the SIM removal bit into the hole opposite the volume buttons and press to release the SIM/MicroSD card tray.
Remove the SIM/MicroSD tray.
Do not skip this step! The motherboard cannot be removed from the device without first removing the SIM/SD tray.
