  • Time to get our first glimpse inside this Professional Maximum iPhone complete with monstrous L-shaped battery—with two battery connectors? Now that's new.

  • There could be a number of reasons for this extra cable to exist, but bilateral charging is certainly one of them.

  • Some testing yielded the following results:

  • The phone will function without the charging-port-end connected (reconnecting it threw a temporary temperature warning for us).

  • While that lower cable is disconnected, the phone will charge via the Lightning port, but not the wireless charging coil.

  • When we disconnected the "main" cable that goes directly to the logic board, the phone shut down as normal and would not boot, even with the other cable connected.

Das Telefon funktioniert in der Tat auch ohne dass der Ladeport angeschlossenen ist. (Als wir ihn wieder angeschlossen haben, kam kurz eine Temperaturwarnung).

Wenn das untere Kabel abgeklemmt ist, lädt das Telefon über den Lightning Anschluss, nicht über die drahtlose Ladespule.

Wenn wir das "Hauptkabel" trennen, das direkt zum Logic Board führt, schaltet sich das Telefon wie gewohnt ab und bootet nicht, auch wenn das andere Kabel angeschlossen ist.
