Separate the bottom edge adhesive

  • Apply a suction cup to the back of the phone, as close to the center of the bottom edge as possible.

  • If your display is badly cracked, covering it with a layer of clear packing tape may allow the suction cup to adhere. Alternatively, very strong tape may be used instead of the suction cup. If all else fails, you can superglue the suction cup to the broken screen.

  • Pull on the suction cup with strong, steady force to create a gap between the back cover and the frame.

  • Insert the point of an opening pick into the gap.

  • Due to tight tolerances, this may take multiple attempts of reheating with the iOpener and separating with the suction cup before you get it right.

  • If you are having trouble creating a gap, apply more heat to the edge and try again.

  • Do not apply excessive force with the pick, or you risk cracking the back cover glass.

Kleber an der Unterkante auftrennen

Setze einen Saugheber auf die Rückseite des Smartphones, und zwar so mittig auf die Unterkante wie möglich

Wenn das Display stark gesplittert ist, haftet der Saugheber wahrscheinlich besser, wenn du eine Lage von durchsichtigem Paketband anbringst. Anstelle des Saughebers könntest du auch sehr starkes Klebeband verwenden. Wenn das alles nicht hilft, kannst du den Saugheber mit Sekundenkleber am zerbrochenen Display befestigen.

Ziehe gleichmäßig und fest am Saugheber, um einen Spalt zwischen Rückabdeckung und Rahmen zu erzeugen.

Setze die Spitze eines Plektrums in den Spalt.

Diese beiden Bauteile sind sehr eng aneinander angepasst, du musst wahrscheinlich mehrfach den iOpener erwärmen und den Saugheber benutzen .

Falls du Schwierigkeiten dabei hast, einen Spalt zu erzeugen, ist es am Besten, die Kante erneut zu erhitzen und es nochmal zu versuchen.

Wende mit dem Plektrum nicht zu viel Kraft auf, da sonst das Glas der Rückabdeckung brechen kann.
