Remove the button pads

  • This step is pictured with the button circuit membrane removed. Although not strictly necessary for this repair, removing it may prevent accidental damage. To remove the membrane, follow this guide.

  • Remove the four button pads from the midframe:

  • Two pads for the touch pad

  • Two pads for the Start and Options buttons
