Slide the disk drive out of the computer by pushing it to the side with your finger.
These images show the top of the laptop with the upper panel removed. This is an attempt to show more clearly how the drive fits in the computer.
Normally the drive is pushed out from the opposite side of the computer, and removing the top panel is not necessary to remove the drive.
