You can purchase copies of original software from Apple for about $15 a cd/dvd. They will only sell what originally came with the computer witch in your case was 10.2 or 10.3. Both should come with "classic" but I would ask to be sure. Ralph

Apple does not have any. Talked to them 3 days ago. Ebay nope. Craigslist, no. Can you believe it? None anywhere.
Ok here is the URL for a company I get restore disk for Windows machines. They do however have some for Macs so it probably won't hurt to try them. Ralph

When I started my PowerBook yesterday and today, there is a box with a world in it that flashes several times before the icon for the missing os9 folder comes up flashing, then the grey apple shows up and then we are up and running. I know what the ? in the folder means, (I'm trying to rectify that), but what does the box with the world in it mean?

According to my sources it means the file system is corrupted in a way that disk repair can't fix. A reinstall is required. Ralph
Thank you. The restore disks would take of this right? I am still trying to get them. Do you think it would help to reinstall Tiger 10.4?
