I have forgotten my password on phone (haven't used it for 6 months)and need to reset it

here is the manual, but that may not help you completely. Often with phones, removing components will just reset the phone. Or if you open it up there may be a reset button. Usually however, it's a combination of buttons when you boot the device. You're best off calling the support line for your mobile service provider and asking them, they should be able to help you quickly.
