logic board / display connector L9000 coil charred

The small SMD coil (L9000) under the display connector on the logic board is charred.

The display connector was damaged previously (broken shield) and every time I was transporting the iMac I had to either smack it or open it and wiggle the display cable in order to make it work.

This time it might short-circuited one of those pins to the ground (the twisted wobbly shield) and hopefully only that inductance died.

I wonder if there are any options to repair it.

What are the last three digits of your serial number? What numbers are on your motherboard? What processor is it?

Serial: CK0330CRGXU EMC 2390

iMac 27" Intel i7

Where should I find the numbers on the motherboard, I took off the screen but I don't see anything on the PCB that would look like a serial or type, do I have to remove the logic board completely (to see the CPU side)?

Einstellungen

Laurian, looks like your L9000 is a 250OHM inductor used as a filter. The connector is a 20389-Y30E-01. The inductor will be easier to find than the connector. The difficulty in finding it, is because it is a 32 pin and will need a bit of searching. Hope this helps, good luck.

Lovely, so, I'll need a SMD choke, 250 ohms, any idea what inductance in nH should I look for?

Hi Laurian did you figure out what part you needed? All the SMD inductor's I find have values in nH or uH.... If you could send a link that would help.... I think I've nailed the package size which is 603. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
