If I was to purchase the ylod repair kit you have on the website and repair my ps3 will I lose my saved data and since mine is the 80 gig backwards compatiable will it still be able to play ps2 and ps1 games as well? But I truly don't want to lose any of my saved data so will I? Thanks alot

If you use the same hard drive in the same PS3, you should not lose any data. Also, the backwards compatibility on the 80gb is written into the software of the system which would also not be affected. Just make sure you remove the hard drive and protect it properly before you re-flow the solder and you should be good.
