Stripped/rounded philips screw to the power button, how to get it out?

I've burred the head of a philips screw to the power button that I'm wanting to replace, so I can't get it out. Is there any suggestions how to get it out without damaging anything else?

the tip is made out of 4 points you can press them down into the metal screw and unscrew it :-)

How well does it grip it and how much force do I have to apply?
