Can I buy a replacement screen?
I dropped my MacBook Pro and broke the screen. Can I replace this part without going to the Apple Store that wants $700 and 2 weeks?

There are a lot of different screens throughout the MBP range. To find the exact specs of your display hook your machine to an external display, open terminal and enter this command:
ioreg -lw0 | grep IODisplayEDID | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6
This way you can be shure to order the right screen for your computer.

Usually. Check your model number on eBay if ifixit doesn't have the part.
