What caused a loud pop come from my tv?
My viera is just past warranty. About two weeks ago it died. It just turned off and when attempting to turn it back on the power light blinked 7 times stopped then blinked again 7 times. After much research and calling around I replaced the SU, SD, and SC boards. This fixed the 7 blinking lights but when I powered the tv back on it made a loud pop noise. There was no smoke. Fire, or burning smell. So now if I unplug the tv and re plug it then turn it on the power light is stable but still no picture or sound. I've tried finding service manuals on this particular brand and can't. Any idea if its fixable this time?

Did you check the PSU for any popped caps?

I checked all the caps on the PSU nothing blown. What are the chances of it being the main board, I think it's called the A board on this model.

It is possible, especially since you already exchanged most of the other components:-)
