Some of us have the 15" 2012 model. And the graphics card upgrade is appealing. Would the logic board work within the 2012 model? Has the battery / fan / monitor connections remain the same?

Not even possible the designs are very different.

It might, but what is the point, it would be prohibitively expensive. The logic board has the CPU and GPU, memory (16gb) soldered on to it and the PCIe SSD will be crazy expensive if you could find one. Cheaper to sell yours and buy new...
