Will a different V and mAh replacement battery kill my PS3 headset?

I have torn down my official PS3 headset to change the battery. The original battery is a 3.7V 1350mAh battery. Replacement ones are 4.2V 1800mAh. Will that burn / grill / kill my headset?

Ben Hamel, the mAh will not but I'd be a bit leery about the higher voltage. It may be okay for the controller to handle it, but you are looking at a 15% voltage increase. I'd try to match the recommended voltage a bit closer. You might get a bit of a better answer if you can tell us exactly which headset you own.

The headset I own is this one : http://m.us.playstation.com/ps3/accessor...

The original battery was an LIP 1472 Li-Ion.
