How to replace keep alive clock battery
I disassembled my g4 and still do not see the keep alive battery, really I don't know if it has one. I've taken it down to where
I can see the hard drive, DC to DC board and modem
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

This model does not have a PRAM battery. It uses a capacitor on the motherboard to store the date and time and will go down if not charged for a while. To get it back to working leave it plugged in for a couple of hour and:
Try resetting the PRAM through Open Firmware:
Boot Mac while simultaneously holding Command+Option+O+F
When at the command prompt type the following:
reset-nvram <Enter>
reset-all <Enter>
The Mac should now reboot into OSX with a reset PRAM.
Also the RAM slot on this machine tends to fail. I would remove the RAM and try rebooting.
The 12" machines do not have PRAM batteries. Here's Apple article on it: http://support.apple.com/kb/TA25911?view...
